I`ve got a 01 Convertible and wouldn`t hesitate to buy another
convertible. As most have said, it`s really a personal preference. Me,
I have the top down as much as I can, although here in the summer
(Arizona) it`s not down that much. Even with a really good set of seat
covers you still end up soaked.. funny what 110 degrees will do to you
when your sitting in the cockpit of your fighter!
I think the C5 convertible is one of the best around. I`ve got no
squeaks, no rattles, and definitely no flex. Have thought about
putting in a windscreen behind the seats but the wind turbulence isn`t
all that bad. I`ve heard that the C6 is even better due to a slight
change in the windshield.
Road noise was higher than the coupe but I attributed that to the
run-flats, which I swapped out for the Goodyear Eagle F1. Really
happy, substantially less noise, much smoother, great handling and
traction both dry and wet. I bought a plug kit and a small compressor
that I carry in the "trunk".
