In 1995 there was a Spare tire delete option. -$100.
Our `95 is one of them, and all the hardware that would hold/cover the
spare is non-existant. From the rear you have a nice view of the dual 3
inch pipes coming back to the resonators.

You would be well served to go to the bookstore and spend a hundred dollars,
and get the Corvette black book, C5 Vette book, the Corvette official 50th
Anniversary book, and Corvette chronicles.
You will learn about how high pressure water is used to blow up the frame
tubes, and create a frame up duplicate build for the convertible and coupe.
You`ll also learn how they use balsa wood. And so on.
The short story is that the convertible and coupe are very similar in build,
so cowl shake and squeaks are held to a minimum. I personally think that
the coupe, with the hoop top, will probably resist squeaks longer, but I`m
speculating.
